I visited last summer so can't comment on the seasonal events at the moment but the main attraction here is always the animals. The safari element is the highlight and looking at other people's comments and our own experience, timing might be important. It is busy during middle of the day which can mean queues and difficulty viewing the animals. Getting here from Birmingham meant starting the safari early wasn't an option. However, we did go back in just before the last entry time and were rewarded with a lot of the large cats roaming the park and getting ready for the evening feed. There are so many different areas to explore and many unusual and popular animals that it really is worth taking your time to see everything. There are encounters and feeding times which you can find out about as early as possible so that you can time your visit to certain areas. Just remember these animals are not obliged to entertain you at any time. Some reviewers seem disappointed that the animals didn't jump about at the right moment. Presumably while they were standing there with a camera. It took us every minute we had to visit the animals (we didn't do the house). I would also agree with those who say bring your own lunch and snacks. Food in the park is too expensive for what is on offer.
My nephew had a great day out. Was a birthday treat for him, and he's requested to come back next year.
Always enjoy our trips to Longleat Safari Park, each visit has been a different experience, we usually take the bus tour to see the animals, the monkeys pulling bits off of other people's vehicles is entertaining and justifies the decision not to go through in our own car and definitely didn't expect to see one of the lions half way up a tree, check it out and see what surprises it has in store for you!
A wonderful day out with my 6 year old God Daughter and my mum. We arrived shortly after 9.15am so we could get the best out of the day. A great day out all of us had a great time!
Fantastic family day out! The Safari is great fun and allows you to get up close and personal with some beautiful creatures youd usually only see behind bars! The house area is lovely with the chance to see lots of childrens favourites in superb surroundings. Attending during the Festival Of Light is also a must! The Chinese lantern style displays are awe inspiring and round off a great day!
