Very nice pub and rooms in the back, I liked how the rooms were separate from the pub. Rooms were clean and tidy, food at the bar was nice! One pain was that early Monday morning people were taking the empty cegs at 7am which was very loud as the rooms were facing the courtyard, but that's not criticism of the place just poor timing.
Lovely country hotel with excellent Wadworth Beers. Recent changes since the renovation has negatively impacted upon service and clientele. Hopefully this will sort itself out.
Looked nice, fresh lick of paint. Still had the Dulux aroma! Nice beer, chirpy staff.
Restaurant could not handle 8 dinners at a table. We were advised when ordering food that they would make sure it all came out at the same time, what a joke! 45min between first and the last .And they left the kids meals to last! Over an hour between ordering and last meal being served. Also served food not as described on the menu with tomatoes missing from the macaroni cheese and no offer to amendChildren didn't have time for deserts due to the delay and had to fight tooth and nail for a refund for some of the food. Absolutely shocking display poor management and incompetent kitchen staff. I think the waitress was the only one ashamed of the the poor service and was the only one who apologied.Food was bland at best and portion sizes small for the price No wonder it was dead in there and I guess it will remain so untill the current management it replaced.Won't be returning any time soon.
Go there most September's for my wife's birthday. Great place. Great food. Excellent atmosphere. And the staff are so friendly and helpful. From bar staff down to cleaners. Rooms very good. And big thank you to Mark. Excellent manager.
